    Morrison Marketing

    Morrison Marketing Ltd was set up by Glyn Morrison and was funded by savings of £1000. The first invoice was raised on a typewriter in January of the following year. The company initially had six customers and offered fewer than one hundred products.

  • 1990

    First Computer

    Due to the complexity of the company it was time to introduce the first computer.

  • 1992

    Nobisco Limited

    Morrison Marketing Ltd changed its name to Nobisco Ltd, an anagram of ‘North Birmingham Industrial Supply Company'. Glyn’s son Andrew Morrison joined the company as a Director, and six months later Darren Marshall joined as Sales Director.

    First Website

    Nobisco had become a small network which even supported a rudimentary web site.

    First Property

    Nobisco purchased their first commercial property.

  • 2000

    ISO 9001 Accreditation

    Nobisco appointed the current Board of Directors and began looking to further secure the long-term future of the company. To achieve this, it was acknowledged that customer satisfaction required the company to operate within the framework of a solid quality system. To this end Nobisco sought and gained recognition to ISO 9001.

  • 2002

    New Director

    Mark Beaman was promoted to a director of the company after joining in 1996 for outstanding input to the company.

  • 2002

    Began Importing from Europe

    To widen our range of products as well as get the most competitive pricing, we started directly bulk ordering certain products from Europe.

    Investors in People Accreditation

    The directors realised that for sustained growth, staff training and clear communication were essential. This was formally addressed when Nobisco reached the Investors in People Standard.

    Acquired AC Supplies

    Nobisco made its first acquisition; AC Supplies. This expanded our customer base, as well as adding to our product range.

  • 2006

    Began Importing from the Far East

    To further widen or product range as well as strengthen our buying power, we started importing products directly from the far East.

  • 2008

    SOCIUS Network

    Nobisco was one of the founder members of the SOCIUS Network to represent Independent Distributors of non-food products to the Foodservice sector. Now one of the leading distributors of Catering Disposables, Paper Hygiene, Glassware and Crockery, Food Packaging and Chemicals.

    Launched the Lixal Brand

    Also in 2008, we launched our own brand; Lixal.

    Moved to a new Premises

    Nobisco relocated to its current premises on the Holford Trading Estate to increase it's stock holding space, as well as modernise its office space.

    Acquired Koo Cleaning Supplies

    Nobisco acquired Koo Sales & Services Ltd, trading as Koo Cleaning Supplies. This strategic acquisition expanded our customer base with some big key accounts, as well as expanding our range of products to include swimming pool chemicals and more.

    Acquired Genuine Solutions Ltd

    Nobisco acquired Portman Industries, trading Genuine Solutions. This was another big acquisition which garnered us some big key accounts, as well as expanding our range of industrial aerosols and spillage materials.
